McDavid Hall | K&S Associates, Inc.

The University of Missouri-Columbia awarded a $3.2 million contract to K&S Associates, Inc. of St. Louis.

The McDavid Hall Renovation is the second renovation project outlined in Phase II of the Residential Life Master Plan. The building closed in May 2006 for renovations and reopened for the Fall 2007 semester.

This renovation project included the addition of central air conditioning, new windows, removal of all asbestos containing materials, renovation of all community restrooms, creation of a mechanical room within the building, and ADA modifications to the laundry room. Due to the extent of work associated with the removal of asbestos containing materials, the building reopened with all new flooring, top to bottom. Additionally, all furnishings throughout the common areas and student rooms were replaced.

McDavid Hall is home to the Fine Arts Residential Community (FARC), a unique learning community on the MU campus that offers music practice and art studio space to those who live within the community.
