The project included the total reconfiguration and conversion of 395 efficiency apartments into 295 one bedroom units in the 13 story apartment building. The project was phased to allow residents to occupy sections of the building while other sections of the building were remodeled. This was especially challenging since all major utilities were removed and replaced in their entirety while residents occupied adjacent apartments. All living units received new kitchens, cabinets, appliances, bathrooms, fixtures, and finishes. Utility systems for the building were also upgraded. All units were constructed in accordance with the current construction and life safety codes and regulations. The total project cost was $20.4 million.
