Mr. Librach has over 37 years of construction industry experience, and has been with K&S since 1988.  As a Senior Project Manager he handles multiple projects concurrently, with a single project volume up to $33 million.  In addition to supervising every aspect of his projects from contract award to project turnover, he has developed an expertise in scheduling, and also serves as the director of safety for K&S.  He is an OSHA 500 trainer and has served on the AGC Safety Committee and St. Louis AGC Drug Consortium. He served as the senior project manager on the Projects listed below.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE – K&S Associates, St. Louis, Missouri

Medical Science Building – Research Vivarium Upgrade and Maintenance, University

of Missouri-Columbia – 2018 to Present

Complete gut renovation of the existing Vivarium Space at the University of Missouri, Columbia Medical Science Building.  Includes the construction of a new mechanical penthouse on the roof of the existing building.  Includes all new mechanical systems and environmental controls, DI Water and laboratory gas, laboratory equipment, laboratory casework and sterilizers.

Schrenk Hall Phase IIA Renovation – 2018-2019                                                                                       

Rolla , Missouri

This project consists of renovation of the chemistry building known as Schrenk Hall West.  This is a 1971 vintage building.  The 2nd and 3rd floors, are essentially gutted and replaced with new walls, floor finishes and mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as new laboratory fume hoods and furniture.  The building will receive a new fume hood exhaust system and a new roofing system as well.  The laboratories and classrooms on the Ground and 1st floors are remaining in operation during the entire construction time phase.

Parker Hall – Phase 1 & Phase 2 – 2017-2019

Structural stabilization of the historic Parker Hall on at Missouri S&T.  These projects consisted of the interior renovation of the Fiscal Services department, window replacements as well as foundation and masonry stabilization of the entire structure.  The project included underpinning of perimeter foundations, perimeter wall anchoring, crack injection and masonry restoration of this historic structure.

SAFB – Cyber Mission – 2017                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

Scott Air Force Base, Illinois

This project involves renovations to the B700 building and a small amount of exterior sitework.  Our scope included all work with the exception of Office furnishings, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection and Electrical work.  This is an occupied building and is being completed in phases.

Maryland Heights Community Center  –  2017                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Maryland Heights, Missouri

The project included construction of a new two-story community center complete with all support facilities, and related site improvements.  Some amenities included a large gymnasium, large event space, indoor leisure pool w/lap lanes, expanded fitness center, preschool area, senior center & meeting rooms.  The facility was built on the open space to the south of the existing facility. The existing building continued to operate until construction was completed and the Parks and Recreation Department was able to move into the building.  The old building was demolished and parking lot removed and replaced. Construction was approximately 90,000 sq. ft.

Union, Missouri

Two projects for East Central College.  The Center for Advance Manufacturing & Workforce Development consisted of renovating an existing strip center and converting to hands on classrooms involving precision machining, HVAC and welding labs.  The Hansen Hall project involved renovating classrooms and installation of failsafe electrical systems.

Two projects for Missouri Science & Technology.  The Norwood project was a complete exterior renovation including piers, masonry & stone restoration, roofing and architectural sheet metal replacement of the Administration Building constructed in the 1900’s.  The Experimental Mine Building involved construction of a new pre-engineered metal building.

Total Mechanical Renovation of an existing Student Recreational Facility to serve the University of Missouri, Rolla.  Included connection to ground well systems, new ice tank refrigeration system and fusion welded polypropylene piping.

Wolpers & Johnston Halls  –  2015                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Columbia, Missouri

Renovation of two existing student dormitories for the University of Missouri – Columbia.  Project involves demolition of all non load bearing walls and total systems replacement.  Both buildings also received complete tuckpointing and removal and replacement of stone coinage.  Renovation of dining facilities is included in the construction.

SAFB – Bldg. Scott Air Force Base, Illinois

Design Build total building renovation including 4 existing additions dating back to 1936.  Work includes classified and high security components, coordination with multiple outside vendors and end users.  Building construction standards include progressive collapse, seismic restraints and anti terrorist force protection.

New construction of five buildings on sixty acres.   Project included removal and replacement contaminated soil, construction of new two story training facility, storage vault, heated and unheated storage and maintenance buildings.
